What’s been happening:

After leaving Penn State I went off to graduate school at UCLA to study Comparative Literature, and then spent a few years working as a writer and editor in NYC while completing my first novel, Rain Village, which was finally published in 2006. My second novel, Godmother: The Secret Cinderella Story, came out in spring 2009 and my third, a retelling of the original little mermaid story, will come out in summer 2010. (These books all play with fairytale but are adult novels; for more, see www.carolynturgeon.com) I spent most of my time in New York, but my parents still live in State College and I often come back to visit!
